Magic & Medicine is a solo spiritual retreat in London for women aged 40-60 who are short on time (who isn’t?) - but won’t let that stop them doing the inner work.

Magic & Medicine, in Barnet, North London, offers magical 'before and after' healing weekends for women using a curated mix of therapies, including psychotherapy, health coaching and shamanic healing.

Want to know a secret? This is my own business, which I run with my partner, Bernadette, who's a psychologist. (Because as well as being a copywriter, I’m also a shamanic healer and purpose guide. But that’s another story!)

02 — Creative process

User research was the key.

We're in a crowded marketplace, so we wanted to get our messaging right first time. So we needed to know how our target customers live and think

When we ran polls in social media groups and talked to our friends, women started to open up to us about what their lives were really like, and what they wanted. And that was:

• a personalised approach

• quality time to do inner work

• a space all to themselves (in contrast with group retreats). Because if they're going to spend the money to go deep, they want to get real results – not just relax or make new friends.

I used that research to create a powerful heading for the homepage – so that when our ideal client sees it, she won’t have to wonder whether it’s the right place for her. She’ll just know.
